Psychosocial & Palliative Care Program

Program Orientation/Overview

The Psychosocial & Palliative Care Program is engaged in clinical care, training and research designed to address the emotional, social and physical needs of people affected by cancer. Clinical services are provided by an interdisciplinary team composed of professionals with expertise in clinical psychology, consultation-liaison psychiatry, pharmacy and neurology.

Clinical Services

Psychosocial & Palliative Care Services include: palliative care, psychiatric evaluation and treatment, psychological testing, psychotherapy, individual and family counseling, support groups, expressive arts and integrative medicine services such as acupuncture, massage, yoga, relaxation training and guided imagery, nutritional counseling and pharmaceutical counseling. Research and clinical training is offered to pre- and postdoctoral students in psychology.
