Moffitt Cancer Center at International Plaza
Moffitt Cancer Center has leased and renovated a two-story building near Tampa International Airport and International Plaza – formerly a call center for Continental Airlines. Moffitt South, which occupied approximately 13,000 square feet at Tampa General Hospital (TGH), relocated to this new site and became Moffitt Cancer Center at International Plaza on July 1, 2011.
Moffitt has designed and equipped the building to provide the same level of world-class care we provide at our main campus. During the planning process for this location, Moffitt formed a committee including members from the Patient & Family Advisory Council to ensure patient concerns, ideas and suggestions were addressed at the new location. The building is approximately three times larger than the space Moffitt had occupied at TGH. The two-story center is also using state-of-the-art technology to enhance the patient experience through conveniences such as electronic medical records (paperless environment), a single check-in process for patients visiting for multiple appointments and electronic way-finding. The treatment services will include:

oncology physician practice office visits for medical, surgical and radiation oncology

infusion services

blood draw area and clinical laboratory

radiation therapy

radiology (PET, CT, MRI, Chest X-ray)
It is estimated there will be more than 30,000 patient visits during the first year. The operating hours are scheduled for 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, with the ability to expand hours during weekdays and Saturdays in the future.
The International Plaza area was selected because it is a central and accessible location for patients, especially those in Pinellas, southern Hillsborough and central/west Pasco counties.
