At Moffitt Cancer Center, we understand that being diagnosed with cancer can be an overwhelming experience. That is why we are committed to treating the full range of our patients' needs, whether they are physical, spiritual or emotional. To fulfill this goal, we offer a wide selection of support services to our patients, their loved ones and the community.

  • Arts In Medicine Program
    Visual and musician artists-in-residence offer a broad spectrum of individual and group expressive arts.

  • Cancer Education for Patients and Families
    Cancer Education offers patients and families tools needed to better understand a cancer diagnosis, treatment options, possible side effects and sources of support.

  • Children of Cancer Patients 
    Moffitt offers programs such as Families First to help parents and their children adjust to the changes that occur within the family when a parent has cancer.

  • Clinical Social Work & Counseling
    Clinical social workers are available to help patients and families manage distress and other emotional and practical consequences of the illness.

  • Fertility Preservation
    When there is a desire for children in the future, it is important to discuss options to possibly preserve fertility before treatment has begun.

  • Integrative Medicine: Healing & Wellness Services
    Moffitt offers many healing and wellness services to improve the quality of life for patients during and after cancer treatment.

  • International Referral Services
    Personalized services are available to International patients.

  • Lodging & Local Hotels

  • Magnolia Lodging Program
    Comfortable and affordable accommodations are offered for patients and families who need overnight or extended lodging while receiving treatment at Moffitt.

  • Nutrition Care
    Dieticians are available to assess nutritional status and determine the best way to provide optimum nutrition care during treatment and recovery.

  • Patient and Family Orientation
    Individual and group orientation sessions are offered to help patients and families find their way around the cancer center and learn about programs and services

  • Patient Relations
    Assistance with concerns, complaints and compliments is provided.

  • Pain Management
    Services are offered for managing pain.

  • Patient and Family Advisory Program
    Patient and family advisors work partner with clinicians and administrators in improving quality, safety and patient satisfaction. 

  • Psychiatric and Psychological Services
    Psychiatrists and clinical psychologists are available to provide psychiatric assessment, treatment and psychotherapy.

  • Rehabilitation Services
    Inpatient and outpatient rehabilitative services are available, including physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech pathology.

  • Seminars & Events

  • Smoking Cessation – Help with Quitting
    The Smoking Cessation program offers all Moffitt patients and their families a personalized plan and a range of services to help them quit smoking.

  • Spiritual Care
    Chaplains are available to provide spiritual counseling and support.  An interfaith chapel is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for patients and families.

  • Support Groups 
    Professionally led support groups can help patients and families cope with cancer, gain information about treatment and decrease feelings of being alone.

  • Survivorship Clinic and Program
    For those patients who have ended acute treatment, this clinic provides coordination with primary care providers and surveillance for recurrences or new cancers, monitoring for long term side-effects from the cancer or its treatment, including physical, emotional and social concerns with a refocus on wellness.
